Design Technology
At Condover Primary School, we intend to build a Design Technology (D&T) curriculum which develops learning and results in the acquisition of knowledge and skills. We endeavour to encourage children to use their creativity and imagination, to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values.
We are inclusive of all children, take opportunity to talk about diversity where possible and intend to further develop exposure to elements of learning that extend cultural capital. Design and Technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. It encourages children to learn to think and intervene creatively to solve problems both as individuals and as members of a team. At Condover D&T curriculum combines skills, knowledge, concepts and values to enable children to tackle real problems. The children are encouraged to become innovators and risk-takers.
Below you will see how D&T skills progress as the children move up through the school. This is achieved through the projects we teach.
